M-2 Motorway Interchange

A major infrastructure project connecting the M-2 Motorway to Sheikhupura's industrial zone, featuring a cloverleaf interchange, 4 bridges, and 15 km of approach roads. This project dramatically improved connectivity and reduced travel times for the industrial corridor.

The challenge

Construction adjacent to a live motorway required meticulous traffic management. The soil conditions were challenging with high water tables requiring extensive ground improvement. Coordination with NHA's strict construction standards was critical.

What we did

Implemented a comprehensive traffic management plan with zero motorway closures. Used vibro-compaction ground improvement techniques for the challenging soil. Deployed GPS-guided grading equipment for precision earthworks.

Engineering notes

Pre-stressed I-girder bridges with 40-meter spans. Modified subgrade with geogrid reinforcement. Asphaltic wearing course designed for 20-year traffic loading. Intelligent traffic signal system at all intersection points.
